More Greats... The Great Ocean Road

Definitely my favourite thing in Australia is the Great Ocean Road so was so happy to be able to take Chris there for a mini holiday....

Despite seeing the Twelve Apostle, crystal blue waters, perfect skies, breathtaking scenary and powder, white sand, it took the lightouse from Round the Twist to impress Chris!

There is never hurry in Twizel

A couple of weeks ago, Chris and I took my brother to New Zealand. Flew into Christchurch and then hired a car and drove along the west coast to Queenstown. Whilst it was a very long drive the scenary was more than worth it. Drove through Arthur's Pass and stayed a night at Franz Josef Glacier. The Glacier wasn't hugely impressive but the scenary against which it was set was amazing, especially on the drive from the Glacier onto Queenstown. Spent 3 days in Queenstow which was great apart from having to share a hostel dorm with the three most annoying 19 year old posh southern England losers that I have ever come across. The highlight was definitely climbing one of the mountains for an awesome view of the town. Drove back to Christchurch via a little town called Twizel - one of the most bizarre places I have ever been to and populated by pixies!
