When the Dream was Over - AUS v ITA

So this is how we do things in Doha. At 6pm on Monday, 26 June 2006, every Australian living in Qatar converged on Garveys for what looked to be our nations' greatest sporting moment since... well, let's be honest, Australia hasn't had any for quite awhile now. Our destiny, however, was not fufilled, cruelly taken from us by the Italians with, what was, the last kick of Australia's tournament. In the depths of our disappointment, it was unanimously decided that there was nothing left to do in our depression but drink....






And of course, how could we not celebrate in keeping with the culture of the country we are living in.... Very bad taste, PK!



So, with Australia out, I've jumped on board supporting England (or Chelsea with Gerrard). May the World Cup never end....
